Payment data

Payments are handled by our payment provider, Paystack, and by the app stores where relevant. When you pay, your card or bank details are collected and processed directly by these providers under their own security standards. We do not collect or store your full card number on our servers. We receive limited information such as a transaction reference and payment status so we can confirm your purchase.

  • To create and manage your account;
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions;
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide support;
  • To send service messages, and, where you have agreed, occasional product updates;
  • To keep the Services secure, prevent fraud, and enforce our terms;
  • To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process personal data where it is necessary to perform our contract with you, where you have given consent, where we have a legitimate interest that is not overridden by your rights, or where we are required to by law.

5. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

  • service providers who help us run the Services, such as hosting, payment processing (Paystack), analytics, and communications, under agreements that require them to protect your data;
  • app stores and platform providers where you access our products;
  • authorities or other parties where we are legally required to, or to protect rights, safety, and property.

6. International transfers

Some of our providers process data outside Nigeria. Where personal data is transferred abroad, we take steps to ensure it receives a level of protection consistent with applicable Nigerian data protection law.

7. Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secured infrastructure. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly if an issue arises.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to request its deletion, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to request a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@vertex.ng. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Our websites use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Turning some cookies off may affect how parts of the site work.

11. Children

The Services are not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

12. Changes to this policy
